• Question: What is your least favourite thing about science?

      Probably that not everything works the first time. You may have to repeat the same experiment loads of times!

      When things don’t work, you wonder why you didn’t pick arts.. Or business.. Anything else, really.

      That things never work the first time. you have so many parameters to satisfy and so many boxes to tick. Essentially that it takes so much time to verify your idea.

      My least favourite thing about science is also sort of my favourite thing – the rigorousness of it. I love that it means everything must be test again and again to be sure that everything is correct. But when you are the one doing the same experiment *again*, verifying your results *again*, your equipment not cooperating *again*, it can get a bit frustrating. But it is all for good reason which helps me get on with it!

      For me it’s the fact that things always take longer than you think they will. Projects for the most part take longer to complete and so time management has to be pretty strict if you want to get everything done that you planned to do!
