Actually, both. I work on my own PhD, but I was part of a project with a few groups working different parts of the project.

A bit of both. On a day to day basis I work alone on my project but I am part of a team who help each other out when things don’t go quite according to plan and also I collaborate on a few other projects.

Both for me as well! I have my own project that I am working on but each person in my group specialises with one piece of equipment so we all help each other out. We also collaborate on projects with each other from time to time.

Most of the times its alone but we do exchange ideas with each others. When I need to work in the lab to test my devices that’s when I would have more chances of working in a group of 2 or more.

Both really, I have a research team but I am the only one who does my type of research. Sometimes you collaborate with people on a project and work together.
